Yoshinobu’s Branding
Yoshinobu is a fish market by day and sushi bar by night. The brand combines chill surf vibes with the meticulous craft of Japanese cuisine. These are hands-on cultures, so it made sense to instill a hand-craftedness to the branding. My approach fused West Coast surf culture with traditional Japanese design aesthetics to capture the overall feeling of the market. As with all my projects, I enjoyed exploring textures, patterns, iconography, and hand-drawn logos, in addition to mixing photography, illustration and design to establish tone.
